László is a passionate fundraising strategist who transitioned from the private sector to the nonprofit sector after a transformative volunteering experience with a hospice charity in Romania. During his almost twelve-year career in the sector, he has held various roles, including fundraiser, fundraising department coordinator, fundraising conference project manager, consultant, board chair and nonprofit founder. He believes that generosity lies within each of us, and that the most important role of fundraisers is to inspire people to get involved by helping them to discover their generous side. This type of fundraising enables people to support causes they care about in a meaningful way, helping them to develop their generosity and grow as individuals.
László holds an International Advanced Diploma in Fundraising from the Chartered Institute of Fundraising and a Certificate in Philanthropic Psychology from the Institute for Sustainable Philanthropy. Since 2022, he has also been a Certified Fund Raising Executive. Although most of his experience in the nonprofit sector is in fundraising, he believes that fundraising can only flourish in organisations with effective management and leadership. In order to take an integrated approach to working with nonprofits, he moved to the United States in 2023 to pursue a Master’s degree in Nonprofit Management as a participant in the Fulbright Student Programme. During his studies, he was co-president of the University of Oregon chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals for one year.
